WHY PLAY GRASS?
Are you looking to take your volleyball game to the next level AND have fun with friends? Look no further than Grass Quads/Triples Volleyball! This exciting variant of volleyball combines the thrill of traditional volleyball with the dynamic challenges of playing on grass.
There will be flexibility with scheduling if you communicate any conflicts in advanced. Requests are taken and we want to make it work for everyone!
Here are a few perks of playing in this particular format:
**Teamwork**: Grass Triples/Quads Volleyball requires strong teamwork and communication among players. With only three/four players on each side of the net, every player's contribution is crucial to the team's success. This fosters a strong sense of camaraderie and cooperation among teammates. And if you've recruited some friends that play casually then lead the way and have fun!
**Physical Challenge**: Playing volleyball on grass adds an extra physical challenge to the game. The softer surface of the grass requires players to adjust their movements and techniques, making the game more physically demanding and engaging while also providing a softer surface to land. This can make landing from a jump less tough on the joints or diving a little softer.
**Strategy**: Grass Triples/Quads offers a unique strategic experience compared to traditional indoor volleyball and sand doubles. The different playing surface influences tactics, player positioning, and game dynamics, challenging players to think on their feet and adapt their strategies accordingly.
**Outdoor Fun**: Playing volleyball on grass allows you to enjoy the great outdoors while engaging in a fun and competitive sport. The fresh air, sunshine, and natural surroundings create a vibrant and energizing atmosphere for players (and spectators) to enjoy.
**Social Aspect**: Grass Triples/Quads Volleyball is not just about the game; it's also a fantastic way to socialize and connect with others. Whether you're playing with friends, family, or new acquaintances, the shared experience of playing volleyball on grass creates lasting memories and friendships. Grass volleyball is enjoyed by many volleyball players well past their prep and college careers. This is the version where it is truly a lifetime sport.
You will typically find adults playing grass triples and coed quads. At the junior level we encourage quads so athletes can adjust to the surface and game before making the more competitive and challenging change to triples.
We are very lucky to be working with Wiggly Field where we have use of the former softball field as well as access to the outdoor bar for refreshments as well as a great menu to order from just inside. So, gather your friends, lace up your sneakers, and let's hit the grass court for an unforgettable volleyball summer!
