AAU Girls Junior National Championships

June 21st-24th

16 National - 3rd Place Consolation A Bracket

16 National was showing some muscle, grit, and adaptability on day 1.

They went 3-0 against teams from Michigan, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico.

Including their final set of the night going 34-32.

They will look to keep things going on day 2 starting at 3pm.

These girls were pushed today and THEY. PUSHED. BACK.

16 National beat teams from Michigan, Kansas, and Puerto Rico today.

They had a little bit of a slow start and dropped their first set of the tournament, but they showed poise and composure and fought through to the win.

On day 3 of AAU National's 16 National battled to win their pool and then took their first loss (1-2) of the tournament to a fast and powerful 1st Alliance squad out of Illinois.

Unfortunately, this means they will go into the Consolation bracket tomorrow.

We are so proud of their fantastic tournament so far, and we look forward to seeing them dig deep to finish strong!

16 National started the Consolation Bracket with a win but dropped their semifinal match to the eventual Bracket Champs.

They battled over these past 4 days and really showed themselves and everyone else what they are capable of.

We are so proud of this group not just because of their 10-2 record (top 10) or placing in the top 20 (out of 168 teams in the 16 Club Division).

But because of the growth they've shown this season.

They were gritty, fearless, and played for each other every point.

Their positive outlook and eagerness to learn and develop took their game to new heights, and we can't wait to see how they impact their hs teams this fall.

June 25th-28th

17 National - 1st Place Sapphire Bracket

Day one for 17 Nationals was a day of runs and momentum.

After starting off a little slow in the first match of the day, they found their flow and took the next two sets convincingly.

17 National took that momentum into the next match and won that Ina decisive 2-0 sweep.

This lead them into their final match of the day against Senergy (Philadelphia, PA), who was loaded with height and power.

They fought hard and pushed them in the first set but ended up dropping the match.

They ended the day 2-1 and a second place finish in their pool which keeps them in the running for the gold bracket!

They start up again on day 2 at 3pm (EST).

Day 2 17 National started off the day taking a solid and undefeated Orlando Tampa Volleyball Academy team to the limit, but ultimately losing 14-16 in the third set.

They rebounded and swept a hard-hitting Miami Bombers team in 2 .

Finally, took on a Michigan Elite team who caught fire in the second set and ultimately won in 3 .

Today, there were brilliant moments of greatness and yet still room to grow.

17 National started day 3 on fire, sweeping SCVC out of Manhattan Beach, California. Next, they played Inside Out (Western Michigan) with a pair of 6'3 outsides to push the match to a 3rd set.

But 17 National used energy and fundamentals to end the third convincingly.

Finally, was Balance VBC (Chicago Illinois), and we froze and dominated in two really convincing sets .

Great day, great growth, and we are looking forward to Friday!

17 Nationals went on a 6-match win streak over the last two days (9-3 overall) and it was induced by hype, fun, and breaking down each task to make it more manageable.

What an incredible tournament for really incredible girls.

10 really different girls coming together and bonding, laughing, problem solving, and playing really great volleyball.

2 of their 3 total losses came by only 2 points.

Each girl played a different role, talent and personality wise, and it was so much fun.

This group has been such a joy, along with seeing the growth that has come with the season, meeting new faces, and seeing them compete in different situations has been beyond incredible.

The coaches, directors, and entire club are so proud and excited to watch these girls go into their high school seasons as complete boss girls! 10 girls coming together and making 1 mighty team is pretty magical!
